In the recent past, I read an article that detailed how news outlets fails to label certain crimes as domestic violence. I had never thought about that until I started paying attention starting with the Hudson murders. It's called murder, homicide, fatal shootings, killings...but rarely do they mention it as domestic violence on the national news stations.
So, the California NOW chapter is making a pleading...we already know what it is, we just want everyone else to know. How can we be freed if we never know the truth?

I like the idea of posting abusers' names and photos in the newspaper. Let's embarrass the hell out of them. Perhaps that would work. We do it for child molesters. Why not abusers?
I know, right. Then it can serve as a warning, like Don't Date Him Girl!
I hope if I have enough time to have a blog with names of victims in my state. Kind of like an online memory page if you will. I have to keep up with several pigs and do something with my hard blog so I don't know when I will get time. I do save all dv murder victims names and links though so when I start it I will be able to have plenty to add to it - sad huh? We just had 3 where I live. In the last week.
