"And the True Victims Are the Children"

What is all this crap about true victims, real victims, innocent victims? As I told one of my readers:
A victim is a victim is a victim!
A woman is DEAD. SHE IS DEAD!

Oh, dear girlfriends and second wives, I have some words for you! They are brewing and when I can formulate my words, I'll let you know!

In Ocala, a missing woman by the name of Heather Strong has been found with the help of confessions from her killers....her HUSBAND, and his accomplice. The husband and wife had been together for over a decade before getting married at the end of last year!!

Pay attention to the final paragraph from the article I included.

(emphasis mine)

Husband, his girlfriend charged with wife's murder

Marion County sheriff's investigators say Heather Strong died inside a storage trailer near McIntosh on Feb. 15. Her killers tied her with duct tape to an office chair and suffocated her with a plastic bag over her head.

The 26-year-old Citra woman's husband, Joshua Damien Fulgham, and his girlfriend, Emilia Carr, told detectives the terrible story of her killing, according to a Sheriff's Office report. Both were arrested Tuesday night on charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping.

...they bound her to the chair using duct tape. Then Carr placed a plastic bag over Strong’s head and tried to break her neck, according to Detective Donald Buie's report...That attempt failed. Then Carr and Fulgham together suffocated Strong with the plastic bag...

Detectives believe a love triangle involving the three may have been a motive in the murder, as well as the looming custody battle between Strong and Fulgham over their two children, ages 8 and 3...

Wait a minute, wait a minute! I just realize that by qualifying innocent victims, there is an implication that somehow Heather Strong (or any other woman) deserved to be killed or even possibly that the killer's actions are justified. Way to go media, and others!!!!

1. a person who suffers from a destructive or injurious action or agency: a victim of an automobile accident.
2. a person who is deceived or cheated, as by his or her own emotions or ignorance, by the dishonesty of others, or by some impersonal agency: a victim of misplaced confidence; the victim of a swindler; a victim of an optical illusion.
3. a person or animal sacrificed or regarded as sacrificed: war victims.
4. a living creature sacrificed in religious rites.

Let me say thank you for your effort to get the truth about all this evil out in the open. I am Misty Strong, Heathers cousin. I was the one who reported her missing. When she was away from Josh she would try to keep me up to date on what all was going on. And believe me I tried to talk sense into her head because those children were exposed to violence by the hands of their own father, and that was just not right. I wont go into all the details. She felt pulled back time and time again, thinking that because she had children with him that she just had to take what ever he dished out. I was trying to get it through her head that as a mother it is our responsibility to make sure our children are in a healthy environment. They split up a few times because Josh was seeing other people, but she just never would cut off all contact which is what you have to do with an abuser. Please keep up the good work, so many people are going through this not wanting to believe the outcome will be the same for them. What will happen to the children when they no longer have a mother or a father??? Think about it ladies.
